Child Care For Little Skiers:

 

Club Piou Piou: This is a Ski school run by the ESF and is designed for children aged 3 to 6 and is aimed at getting the little skiers up to the ESF "Ourson" level. The indoor facilities are very good and staff are mostly English speaking with all the facilities that you would expect to keep the little ones entertained when they are not on the special kids' piste opposite. The ski slope has 2 rope tows and 1 ski tow and snow cover is guaranteed.

Jardin Des Pitchounes: "Nursery introducing children aged 3 to under 5 years to their first skiing experience.
Next to the Linga gondola lift. Especially equipped safe enclosed area. Heated chalet with rest area and toilets. The Jardin des Pitchounes offers a choice of childcare times and options so you can enjoy your holiday the way you want to. Our ski nursery introduces children to skiing in complete safety in the form of fun games. Snow guaranteed, floodlit piste."

Child Care For Little Non-Skiers:

The main ski schools generally run courses for kids from the age of 5 or 6 upwards.

Sledging Areas / Themed Trails: These can be found in the following areas:

Pré-la-Joux has two separate and safe sledging runs for 2 to 6-year-olds and for children aged 6 and over. There is also  a themed play area and admission is free. There is also a themed trail near to the sledging area.
Sous-Vonnes: Near to the centre of the village, on the nordic area. Admission is free.

Super-Châtel: Access to this area is via the Super-Chatel telecabine, for which you will need a lift pass, followed by a 15 minute walk.

 

The Little Train: On Tuesdays and Thursdays the Little Train runs from the church square. It's 3 euros for adults and 1.5 euros for kids less than 12 and just 1 euro for those under 5. It's a fun way of seeing Chatel!

Guided tours are also available. Booking can be made at the tourist office for the tours.
