Welcome to ChatelWeb.com, reporting to you throughout the year, from the wonderful resort of Châtel in the Portes du Soleil. We'll be bringing you daily updates on snow conditions, as well as a snow forecast, photos, videos and lots, lots more...

Châtel sits at the head of the picturesque Abondance valley, in the vast and world famous Portes du Soleil skiing area, in the Chablais area of the Haute Savoie region of France.

Chatel Snow

Châtel has retained its traditional savoyarde character and architecture and is a beautiful place to visit in both summer and winter. There is a mix on the hillsides and valley bottoms of old and new chalets, barns and farm buidlings, giving Châtel a charming and "authentic" air, which feels different to some of the other more purpose built ski resorts that are found in the French Alps. The Chatel ski areas are excellent, offering skiing and snowboarding for all abilities along with easy links to the rest of the vast ski area that is the Portes du Soleil.
